Cookie Policy
Effective 10 October 2026 · Last updated 10 October 2026
1. Cookies and local storage, in one page
Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser. Related browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) works similarly but stays on your device. NutriLink uses a small, functional set of both — and nothing else.
2. What we use and why
Everything we store is strictly functional: it exists to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, or remember that you have already dismissed a notification.
- Authentication session cookie: keeps you signed in securely between visits. Removed when you sign out.
- Remembered preferences (localStorage): your interface language (English or Spanish), and your app-settings flags such as notification preferences where applicable.
- Device security flags (localStorage): whether a PIN lock is configured, so the app knows to ask for it on open. The PIN itself never leaves your device.
- Dismissed notifications (localStorage): so a one-time alert (for example a new appointment toast) is not shown to you twice.
3. What we do not use
No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No social-media pixels. No third-party analytics cookies placed by NutriLink. We do not use cookies to profile you or to follow you around the internet.
4. Third-party services you interact with
During their own flows, third-party services may set their own cookies or receive data directly from your browser:
- Stripe: when you pay for a session or a subscription, Stripe’s checkout page (and its fraud-prevention tooling) applies Stripe’s own cookies and terms.
- Google: if you sign in with Google, or when your nutritionist connects Google Meet, Google’s authentication and consent pages apply Google’s own policies.
- Video providers (Meet, Zoom, Teams): joining a virtual appointment opens the provider’s service, which is subject to its own policies.
These providers are independent controllers of the data they collect; see their policies for details. NutriLink does not use them for advertising.
5. Controlling cookies and storage
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time; note that clearing the authentication cookie signs you out, and clearing localStorage resets preferences such as your language. Blocking cookies entirely will prevent sign-in. Because our storage is functional rather than behavioural, there is no advertising opt-out to manage.
6. Changes and contact
If the technologies we use change materially, this policy will be updated with a new effective date. Current version effective 10 October 2026; review due 10 October 2027. Questions: privacy@nutrilink.pro or a ticket from the Support section.
